Interlake Island is located on the southwest side of Lake Tapps. All residences on the island are waterfront. The Interlake area reaches beyond the island and includes non-waterfront homes, view homes and of course, more waterfront homes too. Some of prettiest views around Lake Tapps can be seen from the causeway that connects the island to the rest of the community. To the southwest there are great reflective views of Mount Rainier and beautiful sunrises. To the northwest there are often colorful sunsets reflecting on the lake. Private waterfront park include; Jenks park with boat launch, docks, swimming area, docks, playground, covered picnic area, tennis courts and more. The Lakeridge walk-in park, Banker’s Island Spit, and a ball diamond park that welcomes local ball leagues. The Interlake Community is in the Sumner School District. All residents belong to the West Tapps Maintenance Co. Homeowner Association.
